We needed a Safety and we get the best one in the draft. Who said winning the Superbowl affects your draft choice?
Not bad considering we probably had the best performing draft class in 2007. They started 23 games combined in the playoffs, and all but one draftee played and contributed last season.
The more I read, The G-men filled almost all of their needs with lots of players who could see playing time, and picked up QB Andre Woodson in the 6th round, a steal by almost anybody's definition. Looks like J-Load better watch his back, although I like having the biggest QB in the NFL.

Not at all. Cassel could start for 4 or 5 NFL teams now. He is easily good enough to start for the Jets or the Bills and maybe the Dolphins, if he played full time. I've seen him play and he's really pretty good. Not Brady, mind you but a very good backup. They'll probably sign a veteran but he won't crack the #2 position. Cassel will have that spot coming out of training camp. They might draft a QB late or sign an undrafted free agent but until they're a year from Cassel's contract being up they'll never draft or spend any big money on a backup QB. Cassel will get a starting job when he's up with the Pats.ScottComment

I'm sort of out of the loop with the Redskins. They traded down their first pick and basically went after the best player available at the time but had a ton of picks.
The local news media thought they did well but we'll see. I really don't see that the Redskins are particularly weak in any one area, they just don't seem to play well as a team. They have a lot of super star power but they don't seem to have any chemistry."The farther we go, the more the ultimate explanation recedes from us, and all we have left is faith."

It would just suck for the rest of the league if you guys pull off getting another diamond in the rough like you did with Brady"Time to nut up or shut up"-Tallahassee

Or worse how about taking Ryan Leif over Peyton Manning....oops!
The Redskins are notorious for horrible draft picks. They picked Heath Schuler years ago when they had the 2nd or 3rd pick in the draft....what a disappointment he was in the NFL.
The sports brains are giving the Redskins an "A" for their picks but I don't count on anything until I see it. The generally do much better in the free agency market but haven't been impressed with the roster of super stars that they currently have on the team and would quite frankly, like to see some of them purged from the team so their big egos can be fed from another town."The farther we go, the more the ultimate explanation recedes from us, and all we have left is faith."
