NFL Draft, how did your team do?

Well Miami's off to a great start,I love the Jake Long pick,I was hoping for Chad Henne as the 2nd pick but they passed on him and were still able to get him 25 picks later, shows what I know

Overall i'm happy so far, great pick for the Chiefs getting Dorsey at#5 by the way

Yes, Fins are doing great! Love all three picks so far. I thought they were going to take a WR when they took the DE though.

Yeah i thought for sure it would've been the top WR or Henne at that point, but that DE is suppose to be really good,so we'll see how that goes

I think I mentioned before that I've been a long time Dolphins fan originally because of Don Shula. I'm actually feeling a confidence about the upcoming season that I probably haven't felt since Shula was coaching. I think Parcells will right the ship.
        It's all good!

So far so good for the Pats. I was hoping that they would have traded up instead of down but I think it worked out for them. New England originally had the 7th overall pick in the first round (the pick that they got from San Francisco, not the one they lost due to "Spygate") but they traded it and a 5th round selection (164 overall) for the 10th overall pick and a 3rd round selection (78th). I'm no expert but it sounds like a good deal. Now the Pats have 3 picks in the 3rd round: 6, 15, and 31 (69th, 78th, and 94th overall), which could be key pick ups and/or trades.

Going into the Draft the Patriots needed an OL, LB, CB, and S. Their first pick was Jerod Mayo an OLB from Tennessee and he can play inside or outside linebacker. And Belichick loves versatile players. Their 2nd round pick was Terrence Wheatley a Cornerback from Colorado.

I just hope that the Pats can get a decent back-up QB for Brady. If there is any position that the Pats are weak at, it's the back-up QB. I'd like to see the Pats get a strong veteran QB "just in case".

yeah it's looking good,we still need a DB and WR though

they picked up 2 DE's so it's not looking good for Jason Taylor

Is Taylor a free agent? I see that there has been talk between Taylor and the Patriots.

nope, but it hasn't been going good between him and Parcells. So they were shopping him around for a 1st round pick

Not at all. Cassel could start for 4 or 5 NFL teams now. He is easily good enough to start for the Jets or the Bills and maybe the Dolphins, if he played full time. I've seen him play and he's really pretty good. Not Brady, mind you but a very good backup. They'll probably sign a veteran but he won't crack the #2 position. Cassel will have that spot coming out of training camp. They might draft a QB late or sign an undrafted free agent but until they're a year from Cassel's contract being up they'll never draft or spend any big money on a backup QB. Cassel will get a starting job when he's up with the Pats.
