    Your Fav PBS Shows

Another thread inspired this one ........

What's your favourite shows on PBS ?

Could be old ones they don't play anymore --- or current ones...

You can also include Brit shows that were shown on PBS at one time.

    My list is

    1. Doctor Who -- The Classic Series.

    2. The show where they get old bands together (from the 50's, 60's and 70's) to do new concerts today.

    3. New Yankee Workshop

    4. Painting With Bob Ross

    5. This Old House

    6. The Victory Garden

    7. The Painting show with the old German guy who would always say FIRE IT IN !!! (forgot his name)

With all the good stuff on cable I don't see much on PBS but I used to watch it a lot.

Sesame Street & The Electric Company, made me an my brother smart for years. We always did well in school thanks to those shows. My sister didn't watch them, didn't always do well in school. Nova, to this day I remember the episode circa 1982 where they broke the news that the Dinosaurs were likely killed by an asteroid impact 65 million years ago. Frontline looks good these days. Storm Over Everest is on next week.

The Goodies, Monty Python, Are You Being Served, Allo, Allo, Red Dwarf. Also they used to re-run episodes of The Starlost. There was a tv series which used to go behind the scenes of TV shows in production. I cannot recall the name of it but I caught the episode behind the scenes of All In The Family. My friend claimed there was a making Star Trek Episode but despite Trek's popularity they never re-ran it and I have never seen it.

I like these old British comedy shows:

                  Are You Being Served?
                  Keeping Up Appearances
                  Waiting for God

When I was a kid, I would watch "Upstairs, Downstairs" with my sister.

Wasn't the guy who played her husband on the Christmas episode of Doctor Who? The one with the Titantic? Sure looked like him.
