He's actually better than Al Pacino now.

DiCaprio is in a lot of great movies lately. Al Pacino is a shell of himself, nothing but crappy garbage stuff from him nowadays (same goes for DeNiro).

And I don't get why people go crazy over his Tony Montana's Scarface, while the movie is a blast, his role was basically a caricature. And no Cuban on this earth talks like that, horrible, horrible accent. You as a Chilean should know that, lol.

Django is my favorite DiCaprio performance...he got robbed in that one...he should've won for Gilbert Grape too, he should have three Oscars at home.

Pacino, like DeNiro, is phoning it in these days, playing stereotypes.
          Thank you.

Well, you'll probably be able to see what Di Caprio will be doing at 75 y.o.

I'm not saying he is not a talented actor, but you see Di Caprio will never be able to pull emotions half as deep as Pacino in movies like Godfather, Dog day Afternoon, or Bobby Deerfield.

Now the Academy thinks he's just as good. Nice. After this I would not be surprised they'll par him to ol' Jack. That'll be the end of the world, LOL.

You must've seen DiCaprio in The Aviator as Howard Hughes, an almost mirror image of Tony Stark, not only physically, but in attitude and mannerisms too, ambitious, self absorbed, egotistical, womanizer, driven, self righteous, and brilliant, good call...

There was no way I would have thought he would pull off playing Hoover, but dang !!!

The guy has in incredible range

Sorry but that one went right over my head Just from what I've seen he seems to be a bit stuck up or snobbish in his private life but hey since I don't know him personally I can't say for sure but it's not political at all. No way no how.

He might come across a bit snobbish as you said, but what actor doesn't, lol.

Dude is smart and well spoken, educated. Compare him to Brad Pitt when he talks, Pitt is nothing but a Barbie doll.

They are all just actors anyway...it's not like they are Newton, da Vinci, Mozart, Edison, Tesla, Wright brothers, Einstein, Von Braun, Armstrong, or even Wozniak...

Some do come across as down to Earth. I think Tom Hanks does along with a few others and it's rare but I agree most don't. I guess maybe the attitude comes from being told how great you are all of the time by everyone then you start to believe in it. Good comparison comment between him and Pitt.

Finally got a chance to see "THE REVENANT" this evening. Damn, what a f***ing masterpiece! It was brutal as hell to watch, but also fascinating and the landscapes alone were simply awesome! I sincerely hope that this is a movie that comes out (if it hasn't already) in 4K.
sigpic Oh then, what's this? Big flashy lighty thing, that's what brought me here! Big flashy lighty things have got me written all over them. Not actually. But give me time. And a crayon.
