and while this is live, it's not the explosion I saw last week. Go about 7:15 in for the song that brought me to them-

I just saw Black Pistol Fire live about a week ago so it's too early to "EVER", but this was definitely ONE OF the best shows I have ever seen! They have some great blues-rock songs across their albums, but their most recent is probably their most complete record.

The only way it could be better is if I could actually buy the song on cassette. That would rule.

This NY Times article on female lead indie rock bands just sent me on a Bandcamp buying binge and reminded me of this thread. I already knew a couple of the bands (a band palitoy recommended called Charly Bliss is here, for example). Some of the ones I hadn't heard before instantly clicked for me.

    Check it out:

The Asteroids Galaxy Tour...one fantastic song after another. They are classic rock, pop, funk all rolled into one.

I don't know if this entirely true to the spirit of this thread, but I can't go a week without having to play "The Night Begins to Shine" from "Teen Titans Go!" I don't think B.E.R. is technically a band, but boy, did those guys make a tune that I find irresistible. And I typically gravitate to music that is pretty opposite to this tune.

Might want to check out Fleet Foxes too, if you haven't already- a little different, but a branch on the same tree (FJM was their drummer).

I'm probably the last person to "discover" Father John Misty but I've recently purchased his entire catalog.

No reason to doubt you, pal. Not being into any new music I just did not know I guess music to me will always be KISS, Bee Gees, and George Jones.
