Sorry but the Ultimate Warrior beat both Andre (which I witnessed) and Hogan at Wrestlemania, plus back in the late 80's
I met the wrestler called the Warlord, and that was one huge chiseled specimen. IMO the Ultimate Warrior could beat
both Andre and Hogan in a real street fight.Comment

Such a weird debate to have.
Andre in his PRIME was quite fast, and also quite agile. Andre in the early 70's was damn near spry as a cat. I think he'd be pretty dangerous to anyone in a fight. Especially at a time when he wasn't beat down or slow.
As for Hogan's "shrinkage" that's because he got older (people shrink) and he's had a ton of back surgeries and is said to have lost 2-3 inches in height if not more as a result.
Warrior was a small man who pumped up big with steroids. Hogan was a legitimately big man who was muscular and raw boned naturally and was known to be very strong (though he did use steroids to get even bigger). Hogan could wrestle 20-30 min matches and still go... Warrior was winded running to the ring. If he and Hogan had a "real" fight, I'd take Hulk any day of the week. Hogan was a lot more mobile than Warrior too, even though he didn't show it often in WWF.Comment

Check out this amazing footage, starting with Andre at age 19...
My sister, who is a French speaker, translated for me...in this interview, Andre says he is 2m 10cm tall, which equates to 6' 11".
But of course with Gigantism, he grew taller...then when he got older, and near the end of his life, he shortened in height.
Here's another interesting take on his various reported heights through the years...
Andre was a fascinating person, no doubt...Last edited by Hector; Jan 29, '16, 11:15 PM.sigpicComment

Andre was indeed immensely strong.
In later life, he was also in constant pain because of his condition.
The rumours of his drinking prowess are not exaggerated. He could down 2 litres of vodka before he even started to feel "warm".
Some of the stories shared by his co-stars on "The Princess Bride" make really good reading.PUNY HUMANS!Comment

I never said the physical action wasn't real, reading is fundamental. I said it's scripted and that's true. The outcomes are decided before the match even begins. Don't turn this into something political because one thing has nothing to do with the other.Comment

I think you misunderstood my reply, first off I was making a joke, I completely agree with all you said, wrestling is definitely scripted and the match is rehearsed earlier that day, the scripted mud slinging leading up to the match just reminds me of the political mud slinging between opposing delegates, that's all I was saying, didn't mean to upset anyone, so I'm for forgetting all this and getting back to what the original post was intended for.Comment

My apologies for any misunderstanding on my part as well. All's good and no matter what if we always agreed on everything this would be such a boring place.Back to the fun!
