Grayhank, I respect that you love Lost, it's cool, it's your opinion, we obviously disagree here, that's all.

BUT....if they end it.... we'll just get another stupid reality show in its place!

It's only a matter of time before we get "Survivor: San Quentin Prison."

Oh I know that Hector, wasn't coming down on you at all for anything you said. Just rambling on about my own viewing habits.

Grayhank...I never meant to say Lost was inferior to reality shows, no, Lost is a thousand times better than that type of junk programming. I was just comparing Lost to other fictional shows that I like, not reality shows.

Lost is the best show ever! I actually missed the whole first season. But I caught up on everything by watching all of the recap shows. Now I never miss it.

I remember watching the very first episode when it first aired and I wasn't following it, it seemed strange, and I just wasn't getting it so I bailed.

The first season ended and then they re-aired the entire first season so I tried it again.

I watched the first episode, thought "ok, this is interesting, let's see where it goes". By the 3rd episode I was hooked.

The show is clever and I like the cliffhangers at the end. I agree that it has become a bit predictable this season but like someone said, you become vested in the show and even though it isn't as cutting edge as it was a season or two ago, I still feel like the hour goes by really fast without feeling bored or my time being wasted.

Unfortunately, I don't have any upgraded cable like HBO or Showtime so I'm limited to cable and extended cable. Aside from watching the occasional DVD, this is really the only show I really look forward to each week.

I think the biggest problem with shows like Lost, Heroes and Battlestar Galactica is they throw so much at you in a single episode but at the same time don't move fast enough to answer your questions. Add the commercial breaks and you're left with a very unpleasent viewing experience.

I would highly recommend to anyone to either rent or buy the DVDs of these series and watch them that way. You can watch as many episodes as you want in their entirety, which makes them move faster. You get a better grasp of following the storylines. Even after I've watched them on TV, I still buy the series and watch it again because there's always stuff you missed the first time around or you've forgotten and the pieces fall into place.

I hope they reair episodes from the previous week as they were doing during the first half of the season.

I had a long day at work and coached soccer practice. I completely conked out and missed the last 20-30 minutes...

The thing about Lost is, it takes so long to get to the point.
If you watch them all back to back then it's great and you'll
                              keep putting in those DVD's.
But when it takes the best part of a year with all the breaks
plus the fact that you come away from each episode with more
questions than answers...it becomes very confusing.

I know there's supposed to be some great overall plan for the
show, but I get the feeling that they are just making it up all they go along.

This show reminds me of the 70's/80's comedy show Soap.
"Confused? You won't be, after this episode of...(Lost) Soap".

                              Then

"Tune in next week for these and more answers"

There's always the promise of understanding next week...but it never happens.
It's like a book with missing pages.
"I've just bought a house. It's got a Buck Rogers Toilet. One yank, all gone!"
