And here's another of his great solo tunes that featured sax:

Frey had been fighting intestinal issues for many, many years. The Eagles deferred being honored by the Kennedy Center this year until Frey was back on his feet. Very sad stuff.

But I'm guessing the man had a very full life.

Man, all the current crop of musical legends are passing. There must be one helluva jam session going on upstairs, though. Condolences to Glenn's family, friends and fans. This Eagle has earned his wings...
sigpic Oh then, what's this? Big flashy lighty thing, that's what brought me here! Big flashy lighty things have got me written all over them. Not actually. But give me time. And a crayon.

Really bummed by this. HUGE fan of the Eagles and Frey's solo work, which I personally like better than Henley's output, overall.

I know WAY back in 94/95, our local date for The Hell Freezes Over tour was rescheduled due to Frey's intestinal issues. So yes, this has plagued him for a long, long time. RIP Glenn.

Man, we have been losing big time talent as of late...The Eagles are awesome...

I can relate with intestinal problems...that almost killed me back in 2004...

                            RIP Mr Frey.

It is sad that eventually all of the music/musicians we listened to when we were younger get older...but thus is life.

I went to see the "Hell Freezes Over Tour" and I thought they were good...but not great. It wasn't that the voices weren't there...it was the fact that Henley and Frey both chose to do solo stuff during an "Eagles" show. Complaints aside...if you want to see a great show of the ENTIRE group united get the Hell Freezes Over DVD. It's everyone except Meisner from the group...Even Don Felder. I hope that Felder mended fences with Frey before his passing. Enough so that he will attend the funeral...and hopefully Henley doesn't make an arse of himself or a spectacle of himself at the funeral. I have yet to see the documentary of the group...but it seems that Henley was the ****** nozzle of the group. RIP Glenn.
