>wasn't he a Japanese pilot that was hit with radiation or something and transformed into Ultraman?
Ultraman was a sort of giant space cop from the M79 nebula who accidentally crashed into a Science Patrol spaceship; killing Hayata, the pilot. To make up for it, Ultraman gives part of his life to Hayata. Only one can exist at a time though, which is the reason for the transformations.
Of the three mentioned, I definitely think Ultraman would win. Voltron (either one) was a robot, and moved pretty slow. Giant Robot was even SLOWER! But Ultraman is fast, has an endless numbner of weapons, force fields, AND the Ultra-beings are supposed to be like space gods.
Ultraman is Japan's Superman.
