Just need to vent about this horrible, horrible shipping service. Several weeks back, I had a package coming from FTC, Aquaman vs. The Great White Shark. The package left Florida on Thursday, arrived in my state, Ohio, on Friday, then proceeded to sit at the FedEx location until the following Wednesday until finally being delivered by the USPS on Thursday. Currently, I have a package coming from Entertainment Earth. It left California heading east on Thursday. So far it has stopped in Arizona, Oklahoma, Tennessee, gone back southwest to Mississippi, back up northwest to Missouri, and now it's heading lord knows where on it's countrywide tour! I realize that these shipping companies need to sort packages in the most efficient manner, but this thing has been to six states in four days and it's not even scheduled for delivery until Wednesday. It's to the point that I'm just holding my breath and hoping that I get a damage-free box with all of this extra time involved. To be fair, I knew what I was in for when I chose free shipping at Entertainment Earth, but FTC charges $13.99 for this ridiculous service. Someone mentioned in another thread that they used to use USPS instead for the same price, although I don't remember that for sure myself. I do know that when I returned the same item back to them using the USPS, it cost me ten bucks and some change, and it got there in literally half the time. It's getting to the point that I may pass on the free shipping options or actually shop elsewhere if all the company offers is Smartpost.

If that's true then I'm even further from understanding the time differences when using either FedEx or USPS exclusively as opposed to this horrible amalgamation of the two companies. Packages shipped using Smartpost routinely take twice as long to arrive as similar packages shipped through one of the individual services respectively, and in my experience, the increased time in transit has led to an increase in damaged items arriving at my door."Trying is the first step towards failure." - H. FTC likes to gouge on shipping to make a bit extra off customers, I just paid 10 bucks to ship some stuff and it came first class in a tiny box. That only cost them 2.50 to ship, so that was one expensive box. I'm sure the FedEx thing is one more way for them to save money and not pass the savings on to you. They used to use priority for big stuff, and had a reputation for getting stuff shipped quickly at least. You must try to generate happiness within yourself. Don't get me started on FTC and their shipping practices and rates, especially for the accessories... They put anywhere from $40 to $100 worth of belts capes and boots and body suits in a 2 day priority SMALL FLATE RATE USPS BOX, A box I and most of us use to ship 2 day priority for about $5.45, they charge you anywhere from $10 to $13 and it takes 5 to 7 days if your lucky... That's Florida to NYC for me... and I cant tell you some of the other Horror stories about USPS Shipping from Upstate NY TO NJ to Long Island NY to The Bronx... Hell they could have thrown it off the Damn truck on the Hutch and I would have retrieved it. lolComment

This has been my experience as well. USPS Priority typically outperforms every other service out there and is usually the cheapest option."Trying is the first step towards failure." - H. J. Simpson, 1997Comment

I used the USPS calculator with the zip codes on your mailer and its 2.54 first class. So 7.46 in handling. That's a lot of handling. You must try to generate happiness within yourself. If you aren't happy in one place, chances are you won't be happy anyplace. -Ernie BanksComment
