Ever try it ? Cooked some up today for the 1st time and was rather surprised by it. It by no means is BACON but it is pretty tasty. Crisped up quick and no splatter and mess to clean up.

Avoid the splatter...bake the bacon in the oven...easier...and comes out just as crispy as pan fried.
Oh, always wash your raw bacon with cold water, then dry. The bacon will shrink a lot less...

Definitely. That is the way to get perfect bacon every time. You will never go back to pan frying.
You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...
Not a fan of turkey bacon. I prefer to buy center cut or similar really lean bacon, and further trim the fat. I know I'm losing flavor without the fat, but IMO it's worth the trade-off.
I've tried various turkey bacons, but the true bacon-lover in me always returns to the good old, tried-and-true pork bacon. Just ain't nothin' else quite like. Sure, it's bad for you and loaded with fat and cholesterol, but if you eat it in moderation (say a few pieces every other month) it's not like it's going to have any greater chance of killing you than if you happen to step off the sidewalk at the wrong moment and get hit by a bus. Every year for Christmas, I kick it up a notch by making candied bacon! Fry it about halfway, coat it in a combo of brown sugar, ground gloves, some ginger, a little nutmeg and good dose of cayenne pepper and put it in the oven. About twenty minutes later, you wind up with pork nirvana!
sigpic Oh then, what's this? Big flashy lighty thing, that's what brought me here! Big flashy lighty things have got me written all over them. Not actually. But give me time. And a crayon.
