^ Agreed 100%. My family saw A Christmas Story in the Theater in its original run and were laughing our butts off. Loved it always.

For those that haven't taken the time to watch A Christmas Story, you're missing out. Jean Shepherd is a story telling god.
Related to my least favorite, never really cared for the Santa Clause, and the Polar Express is a cute story, but it just comes out as creepy.Comment

As much as I love "A Christmas Story", I'll give everyone a pass cause it's definitely a like it or lump it movie. And, like everyone claims about beer, it's an acquired taste and gets better every time. However, anyone that rains on either version of "Miracle on 34th St" is in for a trashin'.Comment

I don't know some of you people. At all.
How can anyone on a TOY BOARD not get "A Christmas Story"? The whole movie is about a kid obsessing over his favorite toy! Yes, it's a BB gun, but it's a toy.
Jingle All the Way is mindless fun, but the climax is shark-jumping worthy. It goes into another realm in the last 15 minutes.
I finally watched "It's A Wonderful Life" all the way through in one sitting just last year. To me, it lived up to all the hype!

You're right, it's really not, but here's the thing - every year my wife sets up this list of about 20 Christmas movies we HAVE to watch, and most of them are ones I never wanted to see in the first place. If I can squeeze a few on that list that I love to watch due to a technicality it makes things a whole lot more entertaining.Comment
