Not to mention, she was a favorite of director John Ford. There are so very few Golden Age actresses left from that era (Olivia De Havilland comes to mind). She was a great actress and had phenomenal chemistry with John Wayne. "The Quiet Man" and "How Green was My Valley" are classic films. -
She was a great actress! And, she was the queen of Technicolor because she was made for it. Though, her best role may have been in a little movie, filmed in black & white, called "Miracle On 34th Street."
RIP Maureen.

Back in the 80's my Mom was working at a hummel store at the local mall, and Maureen O'Hara walked in
with another woman and bought something and my Mother waited on her, I walked into the store and saw her
but really didn't know who she was at the time, my Mother was very excited to see her, I just remembered
how pretty she was and her red hair. I have a few of her movies and she was an excellent actress, sorry
to hear about her passing away, RIP.Comment
