I'm a William Castle fan, so I love movies like The Tingler, Mr. Sardonicus, Homicidal, The House On Haunted Hill, and 13 Ghosts. And of course you can't go wrong w/ classics like The Blob, Phantom of the Opera, Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde, The Brain That Wouldn't Die, The Monster That Challenged the World. and The Curse Of The Werewolf.

You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...Comment

I just watched Fright Night recently with the kids. it holds up really well.
I love 30 Days of Night. it is a really scary vampire movie.
Salems Lot (original) is also really good but it is dated
the Abbot & Costello monster movies are a lot of fun and family friendlyComment

I watched a golden oldie I was able to track down last week from one scene I remembered (the bus scene). Pretty decent old school horror flick....

One movie I always make it a must to watch is "The Legend of Hell House." Creepy, atmospheric plus you get Roddy McDowall, Clive Revell, Pamela Franklin and Gayle Hunnicutt (whom Angelina Jolie is pretty much a dead ringer for). It's a great (to me) classic 70s British horror/suspense flick.sigpic Oh then, what's this? Big flashy lighty thing, that's what brought me here! Big flashy lighty things have got me written all over them. Not actually. But give me time. And a crayon.Comment
