I've watched baseball long enough to know it is part of the game, but my point is that it is part of the game that needs to stop. Your opinion is your own, as mine is.

It's been done since the as far back as I can remember...and that's 41 years that I've been watching the game. You knock down one of mine and one of yours is going down. I'm against head hunting...but one in the side is not uncalled for. What I hope doesn't happen, which is probably what will happen, is that Torre/MLB and the Umps will warn both benches before the game starts...and that is total BS! That means that Harvey won't even be able to pitch inside because the ump can say that he was throwing at the batter if it even gets close...and that is not baseball. That's tee ball. That's Wiffle Ball. You might as well not even play if the pitcher can't establish the inside corner of the plate.

Again, Torre should be fired for not even knowing the rules. He's the head of Baseball Operations at MLB for pete sake. They got the call wrong and it changed the entire game. If you get a chance go and look at the clip of Hal McCrae going into Willie Randolph in a playoff series...only difference is that Willie didn't get his leg broken and possibly end his career. It's not the first time Utley has done it to Tejada. Five years ago he did the same thing. Utley is a dirty player and should be GONE for the playoffs without replacement. I've lost complete respect for Don Mattingly. I am a Yankee hater, more so a Yankee FAN hater, but Don was one of those Yankees that got my respect. Not anymore. He didn't even come out and say that it wasn't a clean play. He knows it wasn't.

For now, Utley is suspended for 2 games. He is appealing the suspension. It will be interesting to see if it's upheld or if he is allowed to play this evening (He will be if the appeal is not heard prior to this evening/late afternoon game).

Utley suspended for two games! I think it was the right call.

Time to move on from it. Dodgers offense needs to show up tonight especially with Brett Anderson pitching.

              Go Dodgers!

What I find funny about the whole appeal thing is this...He's retiring after this season. Just for that fact they should uphold the 2 game suspension. So, what's going to happen if the appeal is upheld and he gets to play?? Does he have to sit home after he retires??!!?? It's an absolute joke.

MLB is an absolute joke right now. Looking worse than the NFL through the whole Rice and Peterson debacle. Joe Torre didn't even know the rules...and he's the head of baseball operations?? I'd get fired if I didn't know the rules for whatever I was doing. MLB should ADMIT that they made a mistake and that the umpire's completely F'd up the call. Again, it won't mend Tejada's broken leg or the fact that the Dodgers should have not been able to score because by the "rules" it should have been a double play on players interference...Inning over. It's not THE thing that cost the Mets the game....but it was a CRUCIAL F'up on the part of the umps. I just hope both benches aren't warned before the game. If they are then you might as well hand the series over to the Dodgers right now. It will mean that Harvey or any of the other Mets pitchers can't establish the inside corner fastball because it will look like they are throwing at the Dodgers players and that pitcher will get tossed out of the game. Dodgers don't have any hard throwing STARTERS besides Kershaw. Graenke is basically a new version of Greg Maddux. I don't know who the pitcher the Dodgers are putting out there tonight is. Only other guy that throws that kind of "Heat" is the Dodgers closer. Bottom line...this has to get taken care of by the players on the field on both sides...don't let MLB stick their nose into this situation. MLB F'd it up to begin with by NOT making the right call. Torre should resign...he's worse than Goedell in the NFL.

Two down and one to go. I think a few Dodgers got whiplash from the speed of Cespedes' homer leaving the ballpark so fast. THAT BALL WAS CRUSHED!!! And how about Granderson? Bet the Yanks wish they had him back in their lineup the last year. Lets close this out Tuesday Night...LETS GO METS!

BTW...what the hell was Mattingly thinking by intentionally walking Wright to get to Murphy??!!?? Murphy can roll out of bed from a sound sleep and hit a single. He's the hardest player in the majors to strikeout...and always seems to make good contact in critical situations. I think Murphy was hitting .500 vs. the guy that was pitching.

the loss last night proves Don Mattingly just cannot coach this team. First mistake he puts in Brett Anderson to pitch, the second was to replace Anderson with Alex Wood who has an absolute terrible ERA with the Mets.

As much as I would love the Dodgers to go to the World Series, this team is just not a championship team. You can't win a World Series when you rely only on two pitchers (Grienke and Kershaw) to win you games.

I love the game of Baseball and I give lots of credit to the Mets handing the Dodgers their a*s on a platter! that is exactly how you respond after the Utley incident!

In my opinion, it's not that Mattingly isn't capable of coaching this Dodgers team. It's that the Dodgers may not be talented enough or not able to "step-up to the plate" when it really matters. Of course, it's not over until it's over. We'll see what happens.

Dodgers still have some fight left in them. Kershaw didn't look unbeatable...but he did get the job done. Don't know why none of the Mets hitters stepped out of the batters box to disrupt his rhythm. Matz looked nervous and looked like he was overthrowing. It's off to LA for Game 5. Hopefully no Met fans get the crap kicked out of them:

And they say New York is violent. This stuff doesn't happen here in NY.

Rooting for the Mets, here. Though, I really thought they needed to get it done in New York, as I was watching last night. Let's see what happens on Thursday.

Thought for sure that Collins was gonna keep Syndegard in for a second inning. He was throwing SMOKE! Next up...Chicago Cubs. LET'S GO METS!!!
