Don't you hate how the American English Language is changing ?

    First example .....

Remember when a person was missing ?

    THEY WERE MISSING

How come, within the last ten years, suddenly they "went missing" or "they've gone missing"

The statemant makes it sound like it was of their own accord.

Any other examples of the NEW American English language you hate hearing ?

Well there is always '' YO '' instead of Hello
Or " HUH " instead of What
Or " Yeah '' instead of Yes . BTW ,... I am Guilty of all of these .

I don't know if this one counts but it drives me absolutely crazy:

      Text me later.

Isn't this the biggest waste of time that a person could do? You've got to sit there and type all those keys to get the letter you want. It's a phone! It's much easier to dial the 7 numbers and actually speak to someone. I hate cell phones on so many levels.

Must be where you live. Here in MA the only thing I hear is "is missing"

Ebonics is one thing I hate. I can't stand hearing my students say " I be going to Mrs. Jones classroom" or "Who dis talking?".

"No Way Man & or Dude" Instead of Thats Wrong
" Lets Roll" Instead of lets Go
Or "Thats How I Roll" instead of Thats How I am

Or "Yeah?" at the end of a sentence when it is totally unnecessary.

I went to Canada Once. Just right over the Boarder. I was in a Bar. After a few Beers,.. Ok Many... I got confused When Speaking with everyone. Everyone was Great,.. However I thought I was in a Re-run of Jeopardy .. & Everyone was answering in the Form of a Question to me. By the End of the Night I wound up Trashed,.. & Kept looking for Alex Trebek. True Story.

Oh, yeah, I've encountered those people who, like, use the Interrogative Lilt? But it's, like, not necessarily a Canadian thing? Usually it's, like, people who are, like, a little on the passive side? Or if they're from British Columbia... Like, they can be so irritating?

Americans use the Interrogative Lilt, as well. Especially if they've spent any summers at Band Camp...

In Canada, "eh?" is used the same way people will use "you know" at the end of the sentence.
