    70's American Bands thread

    What were some really cool American bands from the 70's ?

    I'm getting sick of hearing about Queen, Zep, Floyd etc

    Cool American Bands.......

    My first vote goes to Grand Funk ... The American Band

      KISS...i've been listening to them since i was like 4 or 5('78 or so)....ive recently gotten back into listening to them, after seeing gene in "real life" on his family jewels show. man, seeing him scoop cat litter or wash his dog was pretty funny...

      alice cooper was pretty good, too...
      never liked Ozzy....

              Kiss, as already mentioned....

              Aerosmith, whose '70s albums like Toys In The Attic and Rocks are some of the best rock ever released, in my opinion.

              Boston

              Journey

              I also like alot of the folk, country, or soft rock bands like The Eagles, America, Blood Sweat and Tears, Steely Dan, Doobie Brothers....

                                      Van Halen (yes, they started in the late 70s)
