    Who's your favorite sports/actors ?

Was watching an episode of McMillian and Wife last night and the guest star was Rosey Grier.

The man is just so darn likable

Name some of YOUR favorite sports/actors --- classic and/or present is fine

Alex Karras immediately comes to mind for Mongo and George Popodopolis. LIkeable in every way and he wasn't that far removed from ripping QB heads off when he started fimlig Webster.
I almost had a psychic girlfriend but she dumped me before we met.

If anyone here believes in psychokinesis, please raise my hand.

Loved Kareem Abdul-Jabbar in Airplane. The Brian "Boz" Bosworth was fun to watch in some action movies. Carl Weathers, Chuck Norris, Jim Brown, Merlin Olsen and Alan Autry also come to mind. I like Dwayne Johnson too but don't really consider wrestling a true sport, just my opinion.

I liked Hunter (Fred Dryer) back in the day. Haven't watched it in over 20 years, so I'm not sure it's held up.

Jason Lee is great, Fred Williamson, Roddy Piper, Bubba Smith, and I always liked Bob Uecker.

The Rock did play major college football at U of Miami, so technically he's an athlete :-)

Yeah for a short short time but you're right. I was thinking mainly of professional athletes or else would have mentioned Dean Cain too. There would be a laundry list of college athletes going into acting such as Burt Reynolds and 100s more.

Dwayne The Rock Johnson...I swear...I almost hate how likeable that guy is...and not only on screen, everybody says he's really super nice in person too. The Rock is what every celebrity should strive to be. Damn, he's a damn handsome fella to boot...now I really hate him, lol.

I like all of the Odd Couple episodes with the sports stars. The one with Billie Jean King comes to mind.
                    It's all good!

Hector, you're right. Dwayne Johnson is almost too likable and charismatic. Everybody likes him. He reminds a little of Jackie Chan, just seems so nice and likeable.

Johnson wasn't a star, but he played defensive line for the Miami Hurricanes before he became a wrestler.

Sorry, I missed the other post about Johnson playing at Miami.

John Wayne played offensive line at USC.

I always liked Babe Ruth's cameos in "Pride of the Yankees."

LaBron James is getting some nice notices from his role in the Amy Schumer movie "Trainwreck" that opens Friday.
