he had a good, long life. still it is profoundly sad to hear of his passing. the last of his generation. his talent and humor will be missed, but we still have his movies to enjoy over and over again. RIP!

I was utterly floored by this news.
I knew he was well aged and his time here was limited but just totally not expecting to see this today.

Thank you for the scares, laughs and memories.

I said to my daughter that he had died on Sunday but they only released the news now to make sure he was really dead. LOL

truly a gifted and brilliant actor. there are not many like him in Hollywood today

Well-put; I posted of him in another thread. He was so much more than his Dracula, I'm glad we could enjoy his performances for so many decades.

Someone told me here his birthday was the same as Vincent Price's.

Yeah, I put my favorite Celebrity birthdays on my family calendar I get printed each year. Lee and Price are on the same day (May 27) , and Cushing is the day before. (May26).

Mark Hamill and Christopher Reeve are both September 25th.

Shatner and Nimoy are March 22 and 26 respectively.

Sad, but a 93 that's a great run in life. Also means he touched multiple generations with his work, which is possibly the best tribute one can get,

I've always been so proud that he was my namesake (thanks to my horror movie loving father, hell my middle name was almost "Lee", but my mother vetoed that, so I'm "Christopher John" instead), I'd always hoped I'd get a chance to meet him someday, I really should have tried harder to attend a convention he was a guest at.

A true legend, I was just talking about his prolific career with my younger managers last week. What an amazingly long and productive life he had.
