    Charlton Heston RIP

On a Charlton Heston list that gets info from the Heston family, I just learned that Charlton Heston passed away.

    http://biz.yahoo.com/prnews/080405/clsa013.html?.v=11

Charlton Heston was the first actor I ever took notice of and liked as a little kid.

From Apes to Omega Man to Soylent Green to Airport 1975 Chuck was a guy you saw a lot of in the 1970's.

To me, when he was in a movie, it was automatically elevated.

He was a hero to me as a kid and it is a time where a lot of heroes of our childhood are shuffling off the mortal coil. I only wish that Chuck didn't have to go in such a bad way for him and his family (I hear Alzheimer's is a bad way to go)

    Here's to Chuck...

Great guy, not the best actor in the world (overacted a bit), but obviously had many memorable roles.

    RIP Mr Heston.

Damn you know your getting old when all the people you knew as a young person start dying off.

Chuck was an icon. From the 10 Commandments to The apes and everything in between. He was abig part of our culture growing up. He will be missed.

Lo there do I see the line of my people back to the begining.
            Lo they do call me.
They bid me take my place among them.

Charleton Heston would never settle for a scant 12 guns... 120 gun salute!!

Oh man! How sad is that? I was just watching POTA on Friday night, too. I've seen him in other things, and I even bought a religious cassette tape series for my mom narrated by him a few years back, but he'll always be Taylor to me.

RIP, Chalton, you will be missed.

Oh Man, I just heard on the news.
I just got The Omega Man in the post yesterday.
He was a hero, despite his politics.

I saw the news when I woke up today. POTA is my favorite movie of all time. I enjoyed his other movies, too. I've been meaning to get a copy of Omega Man, which I've never seen. I will have to get a copy now.
                            RIP Charlton Heston.
