1986 Monte Carlo 2 tone blue, blue cloth seats, looked liked a Mass State Trooper car, 4.3 fuel injection,
sweet car, they don't make cars like that anymore.Leave a comment:

'82 Lebaron convertible; white paint & dirty white top w/ light brown leather interior. I got it used in '86 or '87. Pretty sure the original owner had it at the Jersey shore quite a bit, because the floor was rusted through. I had Firestone pop-rivet sheets of aluminum in there so it wouldn't be a Flintstone car any more. Otherwise, it was a great ride. It looked just like this one.

1981 Diesel VW Rabbit
52hp sewing machine sized engine with so much room under the hood we could actually hide my sister in there. But dangnabbit I loved that Rabbit.

1973 Plymouth Satellite. Had a 318 in it. Put bucket seats in and replaced dented fenders. Sold it and bought a 1973 Firebird.Leave a comment:

Early 80s Green Honda-matic, handed down from my uncle to my aunt to me. It was all of our high school car. By the time I got it my junior year in 1988 it was on its last leg. Had a removable sunroof though.

1968 Volkswagen Beetle. I was glad to get it. I spent weeks cleaning it up as it was pretty gross from sitting up in my great uncles yard for a few years. My parents got it painted and reupholstered for me. After that it looked new. Not really cool though in 1994 high school times but I preferred it to the "shoelace express". My friends thought it was hilarious that I could put my book bag in the trunk which was up front.Leave a comment:

White 1979 Chevy Malibu Classic with a powder blue interior. Belonged to my grandparents and my older sister and I inherited it in 1988 or so. Leaked oil like a mofo, but it had plenty of giddy-up.Leave a comment:

Your first car --- (old topic revisited)
This topic usually comes up every few years but it gives the newer guys a chance to respond.
What was your first car ?
Living on a farm I actually had two first cars.
My first was a junkyard practice car my older sis bought for me for $90.00
It was a 1956 Hudson Rambler (we're talking ARMY TANK)
It wasn't street legal and I was too young to drive so it was just a practice "field car".
My real first car was 1973 Pontiac LeMans.
Got it in 1981-ish
Even back then it was a total rust-bucketTags: None
