Yep, my heart is sad. I saw this thread, sat quietly for a bit, then went to post in another thread of interest.
Halfway through my post, I felt like saying "But, whatever." Huge sigh.

He lived long, and prospered. But not long enough. RIP.

“I loved him like a brother,” William Shatner said in a statement. “We will all miss his humor, his talent, and his capacity to love.”

Thank you, Leonard, for all the wonderful warmth, humor, and emotion. He helped us all understand our own humanity a little better.

                    Devastating news.

Truly a sad day for the entertainment world and, I think, the world in general. Although I never met the man, I've read several of his books and listened to him speak on countless subjects. The world is running on a short supply of great people and I think we lost a major one today. Peace and condolences to his family, friends and fans. You will be sorely missed, Leonard...
sigpic Oh then, what's this? Big flashy lighty thing, that's what brought me here! Big flashy lighty things have got me written all over them. Not actually. But give me time. And a crayon.

I'll concur, February has been a shaft-month and the world isn't generating goodness fast enough.

Goodbye Mr. Nimoy. You certainly did your part.

Johnny Cash was the last one to hit me this hard. There are not many off the truly great left. RIP
