Oh Mikey ... I can pass the FIT test with my beard. Did enough diving in the Navy Reserves that I know the beard ain't an issue. But this client has a corporate head office without a brain. Policy states clean shaven cause they can't police how long your facial hair was when you passed FIT and only one specific model of respirator is approved onsite. Best part about this is that I don't even go anywhere near the building with the respirator requirement. Annoying to be sure.

Yep, every year! But seriously, my ex hubby used to do that. Probably still does.

I had a mustache` and beard for years in the 1990's and everyone claimed it was because I was trying to be like Jonathan Frakes/Commander Riker. Then it all went grey so I don't grow it except that I hate to shave every day. In the winter I let it grow for my days off.

I haven't been whisker free since I was 20 years old. So that's been... 30 years? Afraid to look underneath now.

truck.jpgMy job is driving on the ice roads in northern ontario. When it gets down to minus 50 or even colder having a beard really helps prevent frostbite on the face. For me having a beard means another season of driving has begun. Enclosed is a picture of my fuel truck at the last fuel stop, just before the first ice crossing. Located about 1,700 miles north of Minneapolis Minnesota.

The military reenacting season typically ends at the end of September, and I use that final four-day non-shaving event to start off my autumn goatee. My wife loves my facial hair, but I can rarely tolerate it all the way to Hallowe'en.

I wear a goat in the summer,to damn hot in NC for a full beard in July. I work as a stage hand so it is a lot of outdoor hours.I have let the full beard grow in because its starting to cool down. I will have to trim or shave it soon because I have a few old cars to paint and the hair lets in to many vapors. Its so full now the wife will hardly kiss me because it jabs her.
