Sorry to hear this. I hope things getter better for you soon.
You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...

If we can't vent our worries here, where else can we go?
As Shrek says, "better out than in". Keeping it all pent up inside you will eat you alive...
Hope it turns around for you, D. You deserve a break!

2014 has been rough for me as well. Big medical bills, both for ourselves as for our pets. Our savings are gone, and I'm selling pieces of my collection to make ends meet.
It's frustrating: our dogs are old now (15 and 16) They still love life, but they're costing us $500 a month in vet costs and special food. What can we do, just put them to sleep?

Keep your head up, bro. As the old (and annoying at times like this) saying goes; This too shall pass."

2013 was a very frustrating year on my end and damn near ruined me financially. 2014 has seen the slow turn around from that but it has most certainly had its issues. Mainly one that is the biggest pain in my *** in the history of my *** being on the planet. But it does get better. Well, except for last night. Thinking I could see better than I really could I ventured down some darkened steps and right when I thought I had made "WA BAM!" I found out I was wrong. Looks like I've either got a broken ankle or a really good sprain. Going to the doc later today. In the end though I know its just another bump in the road.
\So again keep your head up and now that everybody is joining you in hoping for the best for you, buddy.

Autism is a rough one, I feel for you, my second born Son when he was young was diagnosed with what they called P.D.D.-N.O.S. it means pervasive development disease not otherwise specified, fancy way of saying they don't know what the hell it is, but they classify it under the same umbrella with Autism because he has some of the autistic traits, but not all. We certainly had a time with him growing up, but we kept trucking along trying to do the best that we could to teach him and get him through school. He graduated in 2011 and has been living with us and helping out around the house while we have tried to get him motivated to try and get a job and this past week it finally happened! My boy finished his first day on the job at McDonalds today and I am proud of him. He has certainly come a long way from that little boy that wouldn't talk or want to interact with others, to a fine young man with a job! I pray that God gives you strength to endure the hardships raising a child with Autism brings and the joys that you feel when they finally accomplish a hard fought goal that comes so easy to most of us.
That's awesome!! you should be proud...love to hear stories like that. The day mine talks will certainly be one of the greatest moments of my life

It's often that last little straw that makes you break down.
This is going to sound very stupid (and trivial), but anyway...

I had just scored a Mego 12" Buck Rogers this week. Boxed, in my price range. I was happy, I needed a pick-me-up.
So I get it, and it smells like mold, and there are spots on the outfit.
Instead of sending it back, my wife and I decide to clean it up, as we have done before (we're a good toy restoration team).
Long story short, while I mess up the outfit (a first), she messes up the box (another first).

And you know, it's just a stupid toy, but you lose your $50, and we were both so tired to begin with, and we were totally upset by this happening.
                It's a stupid toy, right?
                No, it's that last straw...

We should have a section called "The Vent"...
With a picture of the Death Star exhaust port...
                .
                .
                .

I'm doing meh-ok but either way it doesnt compare to your baby's set backs.

Wish I could cash in on this miserable existence and transfer my "points" to your baby's ticket.
