I guess I'm mr exciting. Burger gets ketchup only, no cheese. Hot dog is ketchup/mustard. I'm living on the edge..

Are any of you guys picky about your condiments like I am? I swear every brand of ketchup besides Heinz tastes "off" to me. Hunt's is terrible IMO. Same with my mustard. I only buy Plochman's.
French's tastes too salty and vinegary to me.
And I HATE limp pickles! Gotta be Claussen's

For me, I prefer what I grew up with best. Heinz Ketchup and Miracle Whip. Yellow mustard is just yellow mustard to me. The brand doesn't matter.

As a kid, I only liked ketchup and miracle whip or mayo on the burger, but now I switch up based on what's available or how I feel.

On fried burgers, I like onions, lettuce, tomato and mustard and cheese, while on grilled burgers, sometimes I'll go with barbecue sauce, red onions and cheese or thousand Island and cheese or my old stand by, ketchup and miracle whip and cheese.

Occasionally, I'll just put the mustard-based slaw I make when I grill ribs or pulled pork.

I like mozzarella, Swiss or American cheese on my burger. Any will do.

If you've never tried a burger on toasted rye, with Swiss cheese, mustard and dill pickles, it's pretty tasty.

Hotdog --- chopped onions, pickle and mustard

Dog: Chicago style, but no peppers. That means NO catsup (ever!) And if you don't have celery salt, then I'm going to get something else of the menu. Alternately, topped with chili. If it's a corn dog, then mustard.

Burger: cheese. Additional toppings depends on available choices, which often depends on the venue (Flea Market? Restaurant?). Considering the fact that I MAKE THE VERY BEST HAMBURGERS ON THE ENTIRE WORLD, if they are my homemade burgers, I need nothing more than cheese (if that), as any topping only lessens the flavor -- although a small amount of BBQ sauce is enjoyable.

I'm not a sausage person, but if that is the tastiest menu option, then sauerkraut is a must.

Burger: Special sauce, pickles, onion, lettuce, American cheese. I can go with or without tomato.

Dog: Mustard (NEVER CATSUP!!), kraut/relish; OR chili cheese dog.

Sausage: Depends on the kind. Italian: marinara and provolone. German/Polish/Bratwurst: Kraut and mustard, maybe onions.

Yup, Heinz only. There has never been an equal. Mustard is difficult to tell differences but I stick with your Plochman's and, well, Heinz mustard. I think I do PLochman's because I grew up with it and it's hand grenade sized squeeze bottle.

I'm strange in that I don't really like cheese on a burger. Just ketchup keeps the extra flavoring to a minimum, and that's how I can tell a quality burger. I know some who put ten different items on, but how do you know what was the best part? It:s like having a casserole on a bun.

Is Plochman's a hot mustard? I've been trying out a ton of different mustards (I have a mustard shelf in the fridge), but can't find one hot enough. I'm dying for a dijon that I can feel in my nose.

The only ketchup I use is Heinz.

Burger - BBQ sauce while being grilled, ketchup (sometimes cheese or Miracle Whip)
Dog - BBQ sauce if I'm grilling, ketchup (sometimes Cheez Whiz and mustard dogs; weird, I know!)

My favourite burger right now is 5 Guys with cheese and ketchup.

Burger - Mustard, ketchup, onions, pickles, lettuce, tomato, mayo, cheese. Basically, if you have it, I'm going to throw it on there. Fried egg? Sure! Green peppers? Absolutely. Cole slaw? Why the heck not?

Hot Dogs - Probably my favorite is Chicago style and the celery salt is mandatory and bonus points if it's that neon green relish. Although, if I'm at someone's barbecue and they're only serving one of those chicken/pork/beef mixture abominations (I'm looking at you Oscar Mayer originals!), I'll go mustard, ketchup, and onions. I know, ketchup on a dog is sacrilege in Chicago, but I feel like it's sacrilege to not have an all-beef dog and all bets are off.

Sausage - Depends on the type. Brats get mustard, onions, and sauerkraut. Italian sausage gets grilled onions, marinara sauce, and sweet peppers. Polish sausage gets mustard and onions.
