What does everyone call fritos with chili cheese and onions? In California, we called them Frito Boats, but everywhere else I've been calls them Frito Pies. Anyone else call them Frito Boats?

      Sofa/Couch (use interchangeably)
      Downstairs
      Dinner
Dresser. However, grew up with my parents using the Spanish word 'aparador'. I think that's the word.
      Soda
      Bathroom

Do you mean Fritos as in the corn chip made by Lays? I have never heard of eating them that way. Anyway, I'd call it Montezuma's Revenge since that is probably what would happen to me if I consumed something like that.

          I never heard that before

          Loft or attic?
          Attic

          Bathroom, WC, loo or toilet?
Bathroom-- even if there's no actual bath in it.

edited to add, I don't think anyone in the US ever refers to a bathroom as a loo...
BTW, what does WC stand for ?
          WC stands for Water Closet

          I say:

          Couch (sofa on occation)
          Basement
          Dinner
          Dresser
          Soda

And being from NJ/NYC -- I really hate "pop" for soda.

              Couch
Basement (Basement has an entrance door from inside the house, a cellar has an entrance door outside of the house. "Go out to the root cellar and get some potatos")
              Dinner
Bureau (I now call it a Dresser because nobody ever knew what I was talking about)
              Soda
              Bathroom or Rest Room

Here's some more (with some Rhode Island terms in parenthesis).

              Water Fountain/Water Cooler (Bubbler)
              Hero/Hoagie/Sub (Grinder)
              Milk Shake/Float (Cabinet)

For me, it's always a Hoagie

I think most peeps within a 70-ish mile radius of Philly always call them a Hoagie.

Alright I'll throw out two food items that always get my friends that come in from out of town. Who has had a "coffee milk" or "chourico"? In eastern Massachusetts and Rhode Island you can get a syrup like chocolate syrup that you mix with milk but it is coffee flavored. Drive an hour or two in almost any direction and order a coffee milk and they look at you like you have 7 heads, yet you can buy it pre made and bottled in every grocery or convenience store and order it in every restaurant. Chourico is a Portuguese made spicy sausage. It may be the greatest thing ever made. The closest thing most of you would know is Linguica but if you ever had chourico you would know the difference immediately. Yet a friend of mine that lived 45 minutes away from me for his entire life had never even heard of it. You can buy it in every grocery store meat department as a sausage style link, ground, in a patty, or a smaller link to be served like a hot dog would be. You can get it on any pizza in any pizza place in the area and order several different types of meals with it as an ingredient in almost every sit down restaurant in the area. Yet drive less than an hour away and they have no clue.
It's not a doll it's an action figure.

Well I know Linguica is very popular in Rhode Island/Mass because of vast population of Portuguese residents, but Chourico is just as popular here in California (as well as Arizona, New Mexico and Texas) with Mexican and Spanish cultures. But "hot weiner's" are another story, every time I head back to Rhode Island I gotta get my fill of them.

I can still remember the coffee milk syrup motto (made by Eclipse) "You'll smack your lips when it's Eclipse".

Around here in Maryland, a water fountain is the push the button and catch the water in your mouth...a water cooler is the big old 5 gallon water jug that sits on a cooler with a spout.

Most people call them subs around here but hoagies are used occasionally but never hero or grinder.

Milk Shake is made with milk and ice cream, a float is made with ice cream and soda or pop if you like (i.e. a root beer float).
