              Tall Boy ?
              That made my day !!!
              I never heard that before

              Loft or attic?
              Attic

              Bathroom, WC, loo or toilet?
Bathroom-- even if there's no actual bath in it.

edited to add, I don't think anyone in the US ever refers to a bathroom as a loo...
BTW, what does WC stand for ?

I think a tall boy is a reference to a certain style that maybe became generic in parts of the world.

                For me it's
generally couch but will use sofa if speaking more formally
                basement
dinner...I have never used the word supper, my kids occassionally say din-din
I call all chest of drawers dressers
attic for sure. I refer to a loft as a small bedroom above the top floor. Ours is filled with nothing more than insulation and isn't even suitable for storage
                Bathroom

Here's another one....do you refer to carbonated soft drinks as soda, pop, soda pop, Coke, Pepsi, fizzy, other?

I call it soda or sometimes Coke. I know once you move above the Mason Dixon line, a lot of people refer to it as pop. Sometimes I'll order a Diet Coke in a restaurant just meaning I want a diet soda and if the place only carried Pepsi products they will usually ask if a Diet Pepsi is ok. I prefer Diet Coke but the taste isn't that much different to me that it makes much difference.

Well, being half yankee and half southern I've used these interchangable my whole life after listening to the way my parents talk. But for me I guess it would be:

                  Couch
Basement (my great-grandparents had a food cellar that was separate from the house)
                  Dinner/Supper equal
Chest of Drawers (a dresser is the one with the mirror on it)
                  Attic
                  Bathroom
Coke (refers to all soda kinda like Kleenex is to tissues. Although I will say Pop just to aggrevate my brother sometimes)

Sofa (most Latin people will say Sofa)
Basement (even though you won't find any in Miami)
Dinner (I've only hard supper in the movies)

Now that I have had some coffee, java, bunna, joe, I can think better

Car trunk = Boot in the UK I believe or maybe just in Aussieland. The land of OZ has a whole crazy list of other names for things.

                          Ice chest & cooler

Soda is served with alcoholic product, has no real flaver and serves to water down the drink while giving it a sparkly twist. Soda-water, served occasionally with soda crackers.

                          Pop is what it does
Coke is generic for "gimme a drink other than water"
Pepsi is just too sweet for me
fizzy is sort of silly, sounds like a Wisconson thing.

Pop is pretty standard out here in the west, but is fully interchangable with soda and soda pop.

                            Couch, rarely say "sofa"....

                            Basement.

I say dresser, or the dresser drawers.

                            Dinner.

And being from the midwest, I say "pop" more often than soda. My wife is from NYC and never heard the term "pop" until she moved here and it drives her nuts But I'll vary between saying pop, soda, and soda pop, for whatever reason.
