Now that my kids are getting a bit older, they have been asking me questions about career choices.
I tell them to try to pick something they enjoy first and foremost but also look into other things such as how many hours they would expect to work and how much money the particular field they choose pays.
I have also told them that they might want to consider starting their own business, basically with the understanding that even the most successful businesses aren't usually instant successes and even Bill Gates was not wealthy from the get go.
My 13 year old mentioned that he should come up with some type of invention that would allow you to rip one anytime anyplace without fear of sound or smell. I told him, if he could figure out how to do it at a reasonable price, he would be a multi-millionaire.
