Videos that were played to death in the MTV era.

A long, long time ago way back when MTV still actually showed music videos, there were some videos that got sadistically overplayed. You couldn't get away from them. Turn on MTV and they'd be on.

What are your nemesis videos? The ones that you'd have to painfully endure over and over waiting for that rare chance to see one or two songs you actually liked.

Just a few to start out with.

    We didn't start the fire
Sledge hammer- The stop motion is kinda cool the first time you see it. But after the bajillionith time this video played, you felt like you were being hit by one.
    Greatest Love of all
    Papa don't preach
Pretty much everything Phil Collins did

You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...

Dire Straits - Money for Nothing

Cindi Lauper - Girls Just Wanna Have Fun

Bangles - Walk Like an Egyptian

Those songs/videos still make me cringe. Of course musical taste is subjective and I was always waiting for the prog rock and cockrock vids but had to endure some pretty horrible crap to get there.
I almost had a psychic girlfriend but she dumped me before we met.

If anyone here believes in psychokinesis, please raise my hand.

Anything by Duran Duran and Madonna. I remember in high school when I lived w/ my dad we didn't have cable, so we would always watch Video One w/ Richard Blade. Then my older brother bought us a VCR and we jury-rigged some channels, and sometimes we could get MTV.

                      Billy Joel The Longest Time

I would rather watch 10 straight hours of Boy George videos than have to watch The Longest Time once
