I noticed that. Madonna gets in on her first chance, but they are decades behind on others like the Dave Clark 5. Heck, Bob Seger got in a good decade late. How many times a day do his songs play on radio? Lots of great acts get overlooked by the Hall for years. Puts a real taint on the whole shebang.

There didn't seem to be that many nominees inducted this year...just Madonna, John Mellencamp, Dave Clark Five, The Ventures and Leonard Cohen.

If Madonna can get in, already, you'd think that groups like Chicago and Hall & Oates would get the nod (just two glaring examples).

Holy crap, Hall and Oates and Chicago aren't in? That's criminal. Longevity and popularity ought to count for something in a Hall of FAME, emphasis on FAME which means they are FAMOUS and popular. Not that Madonna isn't, she deserves to be in, but AFTER those two examples.

When I read that only a few people choose who's going to be in, that made me lose all respect for the Hall of Fame ....

Also, they threw DC5 out last year because they needed a token rap group.

If I was Dave Clark I would of told them to F-- OFF this year.

TR's list is another prime example. The Doobies really jump out at me from his list. All of them should be in, though. Also add: Boston, ELO, The Moody Blues, Genesis, Journey, Carole King, Heart, America

It seems to me like the R&RHoF was in too much of a hurry to get to the "modern" age of rock with acts like Blondie, Madonna, Prince, The Police instead of spending more time on artists from the late 60s to the 70s.

Man Kiss,Bon Jovi,Alice and Neil should've been there long time ago.I remember going to an REO Speedwagon concert where they were saying that they had been told that there's no way they were getting in,so they were telling us to write to RR HOF.I mean I don't know what you guys think of REO but I love them and think they deserve to be there
