Letting Sacha Baron Cohen walk. Now, if the movie does get done, it won't get near the audience it would have.

You want me to lie and pretend I laughed over that lame skit?
It was NOT funny...that video is gawd awful and insulting to the good name of Mercury.
It had nothing to do with you...I never said it was you...the video itself is lame...simple as that.sigpicComment

I agree Cohen is to tall, but hey they make Tom Cruise look average height on the screen. They could make him look shorter. After make up, he would have been almost dead on in face and upper body. The problem was Cohen wanted it to be R rated and true to life and Queen wants it PG.Comment

Queen's insistence of making the film PG is understandable...they want to keep a certain image...and PG flicks tend to be better box office hits...but on the other hand...Cohen's version would've been more true to life...I think what turned Queen off...was probably Cohen's vision to really get into Mercury's bisexual lifestyle...that was probably a bit too much for Brian May and Roger Taylor.sigpicComment

Yes, I think you are right, Cohen does resemble Mercury, and would be more dead on with makeup, and yes, the height thing can me tricked out...it is movie magic after all, lol.
