My annual "What are you/your kids being for Hallloween this year?" thread
My annual "What are you/your kids being for Hallloween this year?" thread
So, who's dressing up, and what are you/your kids going to be?
"Do you believe, you believe in magic?
'Cos I believe, I believe that I do,
Yes, I can see I believe that it's magic
If your mission is magic your love will shine true."
5 year old son is gonna be a cowboy, my 3 year old daughter a princess. I have to laugh because the costume choices seem so old fashioned, but they came up with the ideas on their own.
My son is going to be Robin. He's only 2.5 so he doesn't really get the concept yet as far as I can tell, but he loves to wear the mask since we picked up the costume.
I made the mistake of mentioning to my daughter she should be a Minion 4 months ago. There hasn't been a day since when she talked about it. So Minion it is, and I get to be Gru and my wife is Lucy, the love interest/secret agent from Despicable Me 2.
My son opted out of the family idea, and is going as a very convincing looking 11th Doctor:
my 9 yr old decided she was going to be poison Ivy. no idea where she got that but it's still cool. she picked out all the components herself to make the costume. my son is a grim reaper type monster. the oldest I don't think will dress up this year, she's 14 so we will see
He looks great! But I can only imagine the puzzled looks from most houses. "Insurance salesman? Orville Redenbacher?"
Yeah, I told him that, but it didn't phase him. He's gone pretty obscure for the mainstream public before, going as Nightwing and Earth-Two Robin (see my avatar).
We're going to a party where the host is dressing as the 10th Doctor, and he approved Andrew's choice, so he'll be in good company there.
I need something easy to work in for my Halloween party every year, so I try to stay simple, but unique. This year, I was the fast food worker while Ed and Bart were the hot dogs. matching.jpg
