I will agree with the Idea of a thread starter should have some Edicit ...

Do those sound good? These are horrible names for a franchise and are lazy. I have nothing against Houston at all, just pointing out how bland their team name is. See, Baltimore did it right and went out of the box. By selecting the Ravens they paid homage to a hometown writer in Poe. I thought that was pure genius.

As far as posting scores in the thread title, that's questionable but not bad form. In this day and age of instant results through smart phones and everyone checking scores every five minutes to keep up with theit fantasy players, it's hard to keep scores and results in a bottle. It sucks the game was spoiled for you, but you can now watch the cool highlights and fast forward through commercials.
So are the New York Knickerbockers or New York Metropolitans but they've been using those names for years. Sure they go by the Knicks and Mets but you see the point I'm trying to make.

Been doing it for 20 years. When I know I'm not going to be home at kickoff/first pitch/tipoff/etc and I have the technology available to record the games, I simply don't look at my phone, don't listen to the radio, don't go anywhere that I will see the score. All I'm saying is start a thread on any game you want - just don't put the freaking final score in the title. There are people like me who want a media blackout until we get a chance to watch...it's a pretty simple concept. -Chris

My bad for spoiling the outcome. Reminds me of 'The Seinfeld Chronicles' when Kramer told Jerry the outcome of the game before he could watch it on video. Just call me Kramer, I guess. What a comeback, though.
