What was the last movie you saw in a drive-in?

For me it was Independence Day. The following year the drive-in theatre in Union City closed down. I sure miss drive-in theatres.

    What about you?

The only drive in I've ever been to was the Sci-fi restaurant at MGM studios

No drive ins here ...but we did recreate one with all my boy's toy cars and the big screen up to watch "The Black Hole" and "Big Trouble in Little China" the other week...does that count?

All the drive-in were long gone by the time I was able to drive in the 80's. But the last one I remember going to was "What's Up Doc?" (For those that don't know this an early 70's comedy, no cartoon bunnies involved). My parents couldn't find a sitter that night and I slept through the movie. (Once I realized it had nothing to do with cartoon bunnies)
        It's all good!

We used to go all the time in the 90's when I was in college in Wyoming. The drive in was an hour away in Fort Collins, Colorado. Boy I miss that. Not sure about the last movie there though. I remember as a kid my siblings and I would wear our PJs to the drive in and we'd lay out under the stars and watch the movie. WOW, this brings up some good memories.

Robin Hood Prince of Thieves I was about to enter my freshman year of high school and my sister drove me and my cousins to see it before school started ... I think that was the last summer it was opened ... the sign is still there but where the screens were is now a very nice 11 screen theater in Salem Oregon

There's still a drive-in on the outskirts of my town, and it does a healthy business in the summer months. I haven't been in several years.. I think the last film I saw there was the comedy Kingpin..

I grew up a few blocks from there...my dad used to take us there all the time, great movie experiences. I saw first run Planet of the Apes way back in the late 60s, to Star Wars, etc.

Great memories watching movies with my late father, mom, and my little sister, great memories indeed.

Now of course there's a shopping center with a humongous 25-screen movie plex in Union City...it's nice and modern, but certainly lacks the fond memories and charm of the good ol' days of the drive in theater.

...and as you know, the triple-screen Oakland drive-in theater is now a seven days a week fleamarket, lol.

I can't recall for certain if it was the very last drive-in movie I saw but I think it was "The Dead Pool" back in the late '80s. I miss the drive-in, that was a big thing for me as a kid! I saw Star Wars and Close Encounters at the drive-in more times than I can recall.

At the Silver Moon Drive In in Lakeland FLa we saw the best double feature ever- The Flintstones and Jurrasic Park. Its still open, just haven't gone in a long time.

Star Trek II back in 82. Both the drive-in's in my hometown shut down fairly soon after that.
