I just watched the new one...
Forester was great, I was not expecting a new character to feature so prominently in the second last episode, so when he first showed up I assumed it would just be a smaller part, but I'm glad they got to use him more than I was expecting. This show is always coming up with something to defy my expectations, and this episode was more of a slow burn, but it certainly threw me for a loop again.
After everything Walt's been through he still doesn't seem to understand how loyalty works. When he asked about the money in the barrel I kinda heard an echo of Hank's last words in my head: "you're the smartest guy in the world, you can't figure out that this dude is just here for your cash?"
What's the deal with Saul taking a powder?! I mean, seriously! What's the deal?! Is the spinoff "Better Call Saul" going to be about Saul named Dave and managing a Dunkin Donuts in Wisconsin (or whatever he said)?!! I always guessed that if Saul got killed "Better Call Saul" would take place before he met Walt - but this was a nutty turn of events. Maybe whatever Hank ends up doing will allow Saul to return to his business?Comment

Just watched the latest one again and the music in the final scene is amazingly well-constructed. It's the tune in reverse on top of the tune forward and comes right as WW really decides to disappear after being told throughout the entire episode that he is dead and gone. I then went and watched Season 5, Episode 1 for the third or fourth time and it made so much more sense!Comment

Ahh - okay, thanks! I'm finding articles about this now. Interesting. All the articles I saw were about AMC confirming it, and the Netflix thing, but I didn't see them confirm that it was a prequel.
I hope that next week Walt, Jessie and Saul end up a happy trio relocated in Bolivia like Butch and Sundance - and not to "Belize".Comment

Another great episode. I can't believe there's only one left, I can't wait to see it but am also gonna be sad when it's over. Robert Forster's appearance was a nice surprise. I also wasn't expecting to see Elliot and Gretchen return (via the television). Looks like they provided the final motivation for Walt to finish things (instead of giving himself up, which it looks like he almost did).
I'm thinking the same thing. There is likely a reason why the Stevia thing was brought up again, and this could be it.Thinking I may have uncovered the ricin plan after seeing Lydia in the same cafe with Todd that she used to use with Walt. She said she'll need a packet of Stevia for her tea. That ricin looks an awful lot like it could be an artificial sweetener, does it not? Breaking Bad marathon on AMC starting today, all 61 episodes...all the way through this Sunday's finale.
You can watch all the episodes except the last part of season five on Netflix Stream.
I've seen them all of course, and I'm going to buy the upcoming Blu ray set with the money barrel this November, lol.sigpicComment
