    Floyd Mayweather vs Canelo Alvarez

    THIS SATURDAY!!!

The flashy soon the be American Hall of Famer Floyd Mayweather vs Mexico's most popular sportsman Canelo Alvarez...

Biggest fight in years...possibly could be the highest pay-per-view in history.

Mayweather is set to make an astronomical 41 million dollars for this fight, holy Jesus of Nazareth, lol.

Canelo will get a paltry ten million dollar payday, poor baby.

Some say (and all of Mexico) that Canelo has a great shot...that he's much younger (23 versus Mayweather's 36), bigger (but in reality, Canelo is actually one inch shorter), the naturally bigger man (but they are fighting at a "catch" weight of 152 pounds)...and it's said to be the bigger puncher.

But in turn, Mayweather has had the much superior opposition, vast more experience, faster and quicker, technically more savvy, and the guy just never loses (Canelo is undefeated as well).

Mayweather is a 2 1/2 favorite according to Las Vegas oddsmakers.

I'll probably hook up with a bunch of friends. and order this fight together,

    So, to all interested...

    Who are you picking?

My late father would kill me if he finds out I'm picking Mayweather...I just think Canelo is still too green, too young...I think he would've had a great shot beating Mayweather had he waited a couple of more years (and then face a 38 year old Mayweather), and to get more seasoned, but I guess the boxing powers to be, and the ten million dollar offer thrown at him...was just way too tempting...too irresistible.

Canelo might win a couple of rounds, maybe as many as four or so...but Mayweather cruises to a unanimous decision.

    Mayweather beats Canelo...12 round DEC.

    I have spoken!

    What says the masses?

Promoter and former great, Oscar de la Hoya, will NOT be attending, he checked himself into a rehab...he's fighting demons, mainly alcohol...and other substances...I wish him the best.

Mayweather is just a superior boxer. Experience and talent go to Mayweather. It'll be a great learning experience for Canelo. He's got a puncher's chance. A couple of years and he'll be that much more incredible. I say Money takes it in 8 rounds.
Yeah I really like De La Hoya. A real class act in and out of the ring. I give him props for addressing his demons. Best of luck to him!

I just don't see Mayweather stopping Canelo, Mayweather is not really a puncher, and Canelo has a great chin.

Robert the Ghost Guerrero was undersized and a lot weaker than Canelo, yet he went the distance with Mayweather, although he lost every single round, lol.

I picture something similar, Canelo being game, will take pot shots all night long, but will go the distance in a decision loss.

        My humble opinion of course.

But the again, Canelo could quit in his stool between rounds after being tattoed all night long, then yes, you could be right, lol.

Mmm, you now got me thinking, perhaps he does get stopped.

            Damn you, lol.

I'm more for Canelo. I think if he manages to get a hold of May weather that Canelo is the stronger puncher.

Usually I'd agree with you Hec about Mayweather not really being a knockout guy but he can put together a lot of punches in a flurry and they add up, plus really he doesn't have a whole lots of fights left in his career so I think he'll be wanting to make a statement in every fight from here on out. Hey, we'll all know soon enough. I do like Canelo more than Mayweather so I'd be happy to see the upset.

I think they will go the distance and Mayweather will win in a controversial split decision.

As much as I'd LOVE to see Mayweather's ugly face knocked out, I think styles makes fights and his style is made for Mayweather.

Yeah, tainted, starting with the opportunist Mayweather himsel...

If Canelo wins, it would probably be the most honest result in years, lol.
