The fight itself will not be rigged...what's rigged are the politics and matchups.

Boxing is dominated by four major councils and federations, and all of the have different presidents, regulations, and rules.

There's also the corrupt and crooked promoters who only want the best interest for their own signed fighters, this causes friction between promoters and organizations, thus, the main boxing stars are rarely matched up.

That's why Mayweather vs Manny Pac was never materialized

The matchup itself was made by Mayweather by stipulating a catch weight, he wanted Canelo to come down to the welterweight weight of 147, Canelo refused...Canelo in turn, wanted the fight at a true junior kiddleweight wright of 154, it was Mayweather's turn to say no, they finally agreed on 152 pounds, but Mayweather also wanted to have Canelo restricted not to hydrate himself to a heavier weight, Canelo said no...so Canelo is now free to hydrate himself, and some say Canelo will be as heavy as 170 pounds by tomorrow, while Mayweather would barely make 152, so Canelo will be a lot bigger on fight time, that would certainly give him an advantage at least in the early rounds, but could get tired and winded in the later ones.

So, it's a gamble either way, so no matter the tangibles, the actual outcome is going to be legit.

Your opinion. Boxing continues to produce great fights, but casual fans with opinions sway others away from the sport because the 2 fights a year they happen to watch have "bad stoppages" or other crap typical of a punk like Mayweather. Watch the co-main event tomorrow night and tell me THAT fight stinks.

Thomas Hearns said when he fought Leonard he didn't care who made more money, who enteredt the ring last, etc because he wanted to prove he was the best fighter, that was all. Mayweather is a businessman, not a fighter.

          Exactly.

I only start boxing threads were the casual fan is familiar with them, like a Mayweather, but like you said, the undercard between Garcia and Matthysse is going to be the barn burner of the night, that one could be a classic.

But had I started Garcia vs Matthysse, people here would say, "WHAT???"...lol.

That's the sad truth brother. Garcia and Mattysse will be an awesome fight. As a guy who watches boxing all the time, it always frustrates me when a casual fan who doesn't really watch the sport talks about how it sucks. Looking forward to a great night of boxing tomorrow night.

Yeah, that's the way to go, split the difference, and the more guests the merrier...sometimes I attend pvp fights where there arelike 8-10 friends, so that makes it only five bucks each, awesome, lol.

As of right now I'm not going to watch the fight. Things could always change. My son is in poor health. I been so sick myself and consumed with my son that I havent kept track of the training camps, missed the weigh ins and all. Im going with Mayweather in a very tough fight for him. Of course in boxing one punch could change everything. But I doubt Canelo has the one punch type power to KO Floyd. What Canelo needs to do is kill Floyds body early and never stop pumping jabs.

Enjoy!!! Anybody have a link? lol.

Mayweather offers Canelo to co-hold the belt with him (after the weigh in and stare down)...but Canelo brushes him off...

                      Both looked pretty ripped...

                        Mark my words...Mayweather destroys Alvarez

Easy to say since I don't know any better and don't care, but I look like a genius if it happens, and if it doesn't, it won't hurt me. :P

Mayweather isn't as dedicated as he used to be, and he's taken some shots over the years. Alvarez may well be the guy to knock him off. OTOH, Alvarez has never faced anyone like Mayweather. I'm going to go with Alvarez, but nothing will surprise me.

Another problem is the casual fan only cares about the heavyweight division. I mean you do get some that will watch the occasional Mayweather or Pacquio fight but other than that, forget it.
