I took a class in high school and was actually the top typist in the class. At one point, in my younger days, I was pretty fast - well over 100 wpm. Now? I'm lucky if I hit 75 on a good day. Probably closer to 65 or so. And, for the life of me, I can't figure out how kids these days text so quickly. I'm a one-finger texter, since the idea of using a thumb for anything besides the space bar is completely alien to me.
All ten. Took typing in high school. Learn on an IBM ball. I don't look at the key board cause it slows me down.
My Mom learn on a Royle manual. She had strong finger strokes. I never did get good enough for a manual typewriter.:(
When I took typing in grade 9, our classroom was about 2/3 electric and 1/3 manual typewriters. First come first served, so if you one of the later arrivals in class that day, you were stuck with a manual one. So I ended learning on both kinds, but electric was way better.
I used to do the hunt and peck one finger, both hands, now i just use my index and middle finger on my left hand, leaves my right to be doing other things.Multi-tasking,its all the rage these days, lol.Speed is not a concern for me.It would be different if typing was a part of my job,but it isn't so i just go with what is easiest for me.
