I remember Charles Chips, well. It was very popular in Evansville, back then.

If I recall correctly, they offered more than, just, potato chips. Is that right?

Arcades filled with classic games for a quarter! The few "Family Fun Centers" that are left seem to have less and less video games (even modern ones) and more redemption based stuff. Even when the more classic ones I find seem to vanish after about two years.
Food wise instant/toaster pizza. Loved those when I was a kid.

Bottled soft drinks out of machines. Remember when the first drink of a Pepsi or Coke would burn your nose.

Actually playing with a toy and using imagination.

I turned my army men Guns of Navarone mountain playset into an underground rebel base for my Star Wars figures.
I almost had a psychic girlfriend but she dumped me before we met.

If anyone here believes in psychokinesis, please raise my hand.

Glass bottled drinks from machines or gas stations were awesome! They tasted better. I buy those now anytime I can.

Oh yeah, I love drinking Coke out of a glass bottle (especially after putting it in the freezer for a little bit to get the bottle nice and ice cold). I buy myself some as a treat once in awhile.

Before that Yoohoo diarreah in a bottle, there was Chocolate Soldier. There was also, in my childhood home of Evansville, IN, a local drink called Ski. It was a knockoff of Mountain Dew that I thought was better. I bet Ian remembers this too...

I was born in the 60's but still seen these things.
                    Today they're long gone.

                    Milk men ....
Yep, we used to have a milk man bring milk to our house

                    Ice house .....
We had a town ice house which sold huge blocks of ice.

                    Outhouse ....
We had indoor plumbing, but we also had an old outhouse.

Oh yeah, the good ole days.My StepDad was a Milkman when my Mom met him.I went out with him on his route in the early 70s during my summer vacation for a couple weeks.Man,that wore me out running all that stuff up to the house and putting it in the Milkbox. They sold milk, icecream and juice.I think he was paying me like 9.00 a day.So i guess i was a 'MilkBoy' for awhile, lol.
I remember visiting my Grandpa in rural Iowa one year and the house he was in had no indoor plumbing with the Outhouse in back. That was a treat using that,ha.We had a nice bowl to use if you had to go in the night and then dispose of it in the morning.

Yeah Mopeds are still around. You can even buy Kits to convert a bicycle into a "Moped".But i think thats a big misperception alot of people have about Mopeds especially the DUIers and i've went round and round with people over this, especially the DUIers.Maybe the laws in Florida are different but it makes no sense if you lose your license to operate a Motor Vehicle in any state, that some how Mopeds are exempt.Mopeds are still a motorized vehicle. You can get a DUI on a horse,a bicycle,a lawn mower or golf cart, etc. It doesn't matter,if you are convicted of a DUI,you lose your privelige to operate ANY vehicle on any State road period.Another law they just passed in Illinois is any motorized vehicle whether its actually built for On Road Use or not,you better have insurance on it or there is another reason for them to give you a ticket.
Sorry about the rant ,but that is another thing that has changed from yesterday is the increase in laws and them actually enforcing those laws. Its all about more ways to get your money,ESPECIALLY Illinois which is broke and i 'wonder' why????

You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...

maybe they figure all you can hurt is yourself on a moped? All I know is its still a way around the laws down here. Its always bums and dui guys riding them.

Smokers. Smokers as far as the eye could see.
Police that would drive around looking for bad drivers, instead of hiding in the bushes with speed guns.
