VHS and Beta are still the easiest way to record a TV show

I have Beta and a VCR still hooked up so if you are crazy we all must be. I like the idea of being able to put an old tape in and watch it makes me feel like I am in a time machine.

I've still got several VCR's, still use them a lot. My stereo is from like 1980 or so and plays records, cassettes, and 8-Track tapes.

Last year my brothers got me a new Magnavox VCR/DVD Recorder combo unit for Christmas. I've transferred a few things to DVD (Unknown Chaplin documentary, some Mighty Morphin Power Rangers episodes that differ from the versions released from Shout! Factory), but I really need to get off my rear about transferring some of the stuff I recorded on VHS that I don't want to lose now that I'm more comfortable with using this combo unit.
