        Good subject! I think about this often. Its good to know a lot of classic actors as well as bands are still going strong but makes me sad to know that they won't be here forever. I was sad when Michael Jackson died, I was never a fan of his music but he definetly had a impact growing up in the 70's and 80s.
        George Jones recently passed and I think he said it best.

                Paul McCartney is still with us and sounds as good as ever, as is Ringo. They are about as legend as you can get.

                        I can think of Paul McCartney, Gene Simmons, but the saddest day ever would be to see Country Music finished for good the day the Great Merle Haggard leaves this world, taking with him the very last breath of one big part of the American culture with him.

                        Apart of that, I agree with most that is been said here in this thread, not many legends left. Sad, sad thing.
