Maybe it's this very species that's still wandering around remote forests? Could be, just like the much older coelacanth.Comment

What I guess I'm not following is; what makes it a more likely close descendant of Bigfoot than any of the other dozens of hominids we know about and believe are extinct? As Hector pointed out, there's no connection to it and North America either.Comment

Just like what we were talking about the other day, always hoping and wanting for something else still to be out there. Thanks for posting this!Comment

Just to be clear, as I understand it, large ape-like creatures walking upright isn't the main issue. That's perfectly plausible and supported with a lot of physical evidence. It's putting one of these hominid creatures in North America NOW that's the issue. Large hominids 2 million years ago and on the wrong continent is not going to change anything as far as I can tell.Comment

It seems to me it's just another branch in our own family tree. If I wanted to link anything with Sasquatch, I'd look at Gigantopithecus blacki.Comment

Until scientists can confirm the existence of a Big Foot creature, I take these sightings as either frauds seeking media exposure or well meaning people with an overactive imagination that believe ANYTHING big and furry IS Big Foot. It's never fun to say, "Is this all there is?" So these folks insist on believing in something that has never been proven to walk the earth in modern times. Yet every country in the world enjoys perpetuating the myth. It's no different than the boogie man.Comment

I never equated the search for Big Foot with a faith based religion. But if faith is all the proof you need, then pass the offering tray for the cable networks. Now, lets turn in our hymnals to page 205, "How hairy thou art". Lets all stand...Wait! What was that? I thought I heard something! Eh... never mind. It's just the great pumpkin lost and out of season again.Comment

Bigfoot has thousands of eyewitness accounts, video and audio evidence, footprint castings verified by forensic experts, and hair samples genetically proven to belong to an unidentified species of primate that is not human, chimp or gorilla.
There is ZERO evidence of god, miracles, angels, heaven, hell, etc, etc, etc...yet bigfoot believers are the delusional ones?
I'm not trying to turn this into a religious debate, just making a point.Comment
