I've been thinking about adding a dual-gauge pod to my Challenger. When I bought it in 2010, Mopar was offering A-Pillar Gauges for it. They quickly pulled the product because it was interfering with the air-bag system. Now other companies are claiming they have fixed that problem by tethering the gauges when the air-bags are deployed. Not sure I trust it, though.

Another option is the dash pod set up.

But I imagine this could also be dangerous if the bags deploy.
I'm leaning towards my third option: Overhead dual-pods.

They go right where the sunglasses compartment is, matching the interior color of your vehicle.
I was hoping to get feedback from anyone that has added extra gauges to their car. Is it considered a simple modification? Also, on the average how expensive would it be to add a dual gauge pod system? I know the pod itself is a separate cost from the gauges. Do certain gauges cost more than others, depending on their functions? Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks.
