Could you live beside a cemetary?

A friend of mine has been looking for a new house for over a year now.And all the time I help him look through stuff on line or from the paper. Then a couples weeks ago I take him a listing of what he's looking for. 3 bedroom, 2 bath, 2 car garage, large yard, newer bricker home. All he's looking for but it backs up to a cemetary, and it freaks him out to much to act on it.
It wouldn't bother me at all, think I would rather have the quite then the chance of some noisey neighbors. And just think how great Halloween parties would be.

I grew up with a cemetary in front of the house, across the street. There was many times I passed it late at night walking. I guess I must be use to it now, but they dont bother me at all anymore.

I do think the value of property near one may be much less though but if its a quiet neighborhood, affordable, and they would stay for the long haul, they shouldnt let that bother them to much.

We lived next to a cemetery for a few years during my middle school years. The only bad thing was having a birthday, other festive occasion, or even kids at play in our yard while a funeral service or burial was happening within earshot.

Personally, I think it would be cool, I like cemeteries. But my wife is a big scaredy cat, so it will probably never happen.

I live about 35 feet away from a cemetary.

I currently do. I'm about 50 yards away from a huge cemetary. There's also an ancient church overlooking it. Kinda cool, really.

I wouldn't be scared for "supernatural" reasons, but I think the constant "momento mori" of it all would be depressing for me.

The only issues I would have are funeral and the constant parade of mourners parading in and out to visit their loved ones. Cemetaries don't scare me, that's just silly. Dead people can't hurt you.

I can handle slow zombies like the Romero and Walking Dead ones...the problem would be the sprinters like in 20 Days Later, Zombieland...and World War Z ones...I'll be screwed for sure, lol.
