Just curious who else likes the movie " Willow" ??

Critics often pan it because it recycles elements of Star Wars and Raiders of the Lost Ark in a few places here and there. I dont think its to noticeable though, and its overall a pretty good film.

Its VERY noticeable in Pirates Of The Carribean and that didn't stop the Pirates movies from being a slam dunk.

What stopped Willow from being a slam dunk, was, as you mentioned, that it wasn't even as good a level of quality as a movie like Princess Bride.

Pretty solid movie IMHO, though.

I liked the movie. I think Tonka made the figures for it. Joanne Whalley was is hot!!! The film she did shortly after was based on the British call girl scandal of the 60's. I forget the name of the film, but MaGod she is HOT!!!
Update!!! The films title was "Scandal" 1989. (Wow! how could I forget that???)

I met Joanna Whalley once when she attended a play I wrote/produced. We spoke about Cambridge University for a few minutes. I found her charming. By the time I realized that she was the lead in Willow, she had already left.
