Bacon or sausage?

To answer the question. I vote BOTH also. If you can have both. Why not have both and leave the table with no regrets. Secondly, I envy all yunz people that have access to the wider variety of food types. I mean Mexican sausage and such. We ain't got that kinda stuff round here. Our restaurants all serve main stream items. We got one Mexican Restaurant locally but its more a Lunch/Dinner thing and most of the menu you can get the same from Taco Bell!!! Blood Sausage. Ha!!! I'd love to ask for that at Walmart just to see the perplexed look on the face of the (So called) Butcher.Leave a comment:

Bacon beats sausage; Longaniza beats all.
Hmmmm... the wife won't be home for hours and there's nothing here to eat... maybe I'll visit the Mexican mart down the street.Leave a comment:

We grind and make our own sausage from pork loin from the local butcher, always happy with how it comes out, but bacon, bacon goes on everything. I have to say bacon is better.Leave a comment:

I like breakfast sausage better than Italian sausage
I hate when some diners serve Italian sausage for breakfastLeave a comment:

Sausage is good...but Bacon is meat candy. It is one of God's greatest gifts to man.

My homemade breakfast sandwich will make you cry...I call it the Three Little Pigs.
A patty of Jimmy Dean sausage, a slice of Land-o-Lakes sharp American cheese, a thick slice of Sugardale ham, another slice of cheese, three strips of Sugardale hickory-smoked bacon, one more slice of cheese, and a fried egg, all sandwiched between two grilled slices of thick sourdough bread.
Then you don't eat the rest of the day...Leave a comment:

I'm going sausage, just for sheer variety. Don't get me wrong, bacon is delicious, but it's mostly one-note delicious. Sausage on the other hand, comes in infinite varieties.
Now, if you're just talking bacon vs. breakfast sausage links/patties, then bacon wins, hands-down.Leave a comment:

When I do eat bacon I like it undercooked and not crispie
What most people would send back for not being done enough is perfect for meLeave a comment:

Both of my grandmas and my mom love scrapple, headcheese, and balkenbrij. Myself, I just cannot eat that many internal organs in one dish.
Now back to the topic at hand,.....BACON! I love bacon! But,...I only like thinly sliced bacon.Leave a comment:

Don't get me wrong, Mikey...I DO love sausage too.
This was a plate I had a couple of months ago...a pair of blueberry pancakes with cajeta topping...and four little Farmer's John sausages...all washed down by a tall glass of Florida's Best orange Juice...and one percent milk (I prefer one percent more than whole milk for some odd reason)...
You should try pancakes with cajeta someday...off DA hook...
