I despise blood sausage; if you don't know what's in it.......don't look it up. It's gross!
I prefer Sweet Italian Sausage for a lot of things. Sandwiches, spaghetti sauce, stuffing.
For breakfast, I prefer low sodium bacon that's been smoked in hickory or applewood. It just gives it a certain...um....je nais se quoi I believe is the term I'm looking for.
Park's Sausage is a favorite, either patty or link is fine.
I like kielbasa if it's cooked correctly, and not too spicy.
I'm a bacon man myself, I like my strips thick and peppered.
I do love sausage, don't get me wrong, but if you think about it, it's all ground stuff from the pork's cheapest parts, while bacon is the actual pork belly cut.
