I still miss oldschool LPs, with lots of photos from the film, sometimes even a poster or picture disc.
I remember getting the ESB double disc album before the movie was even out. It flipped open with pages and pages of movie stills.

there is an amazing piece of software called Izotope Rx 2 (and Rx 2 Advanced). This software allows you to view a sound clip as a spectrograph. This enables you to (almost like photoshop) draw out parts of the sound you want to keep or remove and it will repair the section for you. This will work wonders for those soundtracks you have to rip directly fro ma movie but want to get rid of those damn sound effects. It is the only program I know of that will allow for such editing Two examples are below (the second clip shows the software layout with a sound removal option and how it works, but the first clip gives you an idea of what it can do):

and here (have to use it as link since the forum will not allow 2 vids in one post)

Heard it do wonders on a lot things, mainly vocal isolation for acapella re-mixes. The only caveat I've been hearing is the high end compressed wispy sound it ingrains on the high and low frequencies it removes and emulates. Doesn't matter if gets covered up and altered with other audio sources. Great audio tech.

still does an amazing job. Will take the side effects knowing that the end result will be a sound most would not notice anything tampered with
