I still find it very interesting that the actors have not been criticized for allowing their likenesses to used. These figures could not have been made without their approval. I don't mean that they should be. It just seems to fit the mindset of the people that are so upset by these figures.Comment

I'd like to hear what African-American (Foxx and Jackson included) have to say about all this.
It would be nice to voice some support for Tarantino, whether you're a fan or not.
Btw, in Inglorious Basterds, they kill off Hitler in a movie theatre. How come nobody was bothered by that? That was not an accurate depiction of historic facts (not that I minded), but nobody banned figures from that movie.
What really pi****me off?
I like these figures, and had intended to buy some, not for the money value, but because they were Mego-like and Tarantino. Had I had some extra cash these past months, I would have done so already. Now some holier-than-thou idiots ruin it. I'm sure that in a couple of months' time, they'll rain on somebody else's parade...
Maybe Tarantino will even lose his Oscar nominations?.

when will these zealots who push for censoring and banning things learn that all they do is draw more attention to it. these figures would have quickly fizzled and faded away after the movie finished it's run and the Oscars have passed. now they are commanding ridiculous amounts of money because everyone "has" to have them because they are now labled rare. if you rear the comments on the Amazon listing you can tell the people who are complaining about the figures don't even understand what they are. they refer to kids playing with them. they were not made for, marketed for or sold to children. nor was the movie.Comment

One reverend protested against them and the film. He admitted not having seen the film, or know anything about it, but "toys of slaves were not right".when will these zealots who push for censoring and banning things learn that all they do is draw more attention to it. these figures would have quickly fizzled and faded away after the movie finished it's run and the Oscars have passed. now they are commanding ridiculous amounts of money because everyone "has" to have them because they are now labled rare. if you rear the comments on the Amazon listing you can tell the people who are complaining about the figures don't even understand what they are. they refer to kids playing with them. they were not made for, marketed for or sold to children. nor was the movie.
That's right, ignorance is bliss.
I'd like to protest against dragracing on Venus. Don't know if there are roads on Venus, or if cars would work there, but I'm definitely against it..

It's not strange in the least if you read the principle as stated. A minority voice is shutting down a major auction house out of fear. This is not democracy. This is censorship. They have no problem with the movie, but they will happily go after a small company making the figures and force them to shut down production. This has a ripple effect that touches others, like Ebay, within the industry who don't want to be associated with the commotion of the protest. This is not really a public complaint about the product. This minority organization just saw an opening to make a name for themselves with this small company and little pansies like Ebay just added fuel to their argument. I'm sure if you asked the people who invested in that license and the production how they feel, I'm quite sure they would tell you their rights were violated. Who speaks for them? Who speaks for their lost income? You talk about Ebay's "rights". Where are the rights for this company that made the figures who was forced to stop production? That's where it starts. Ebay's decision is just the ripple effect. When you turn your cheek to this type of action, it only sets you up for more of the same. It's someone telling what you can and can't have. And that's b*ll****.It's kind of strange that your concept of freedom involves taking the freedom of a company like eBay to choose what products allow to be sold on their web site. They've made the business decision to not allow that stuff on their site; maybe some other site will allow it and get business from it.Comment

It's gonna be funny to watch Ebay sell the R Rated Blu Ray & DVD's ..., but not Toys.... The Original Knight ..., Often Imitated, However Never Duplicated. The 1st Knight in Customs.
always trading for Hot Toys Figures .

Bingo! Exactly. The hypocrisy of it all is so well on display. At the end of the day this was all about a social group bullying a small toy company that couldn't fight them. And THAT shouldn't be allowed to happen. Ebay are such cowards for giving that group a voice.Comment

We dont really know if these figures were stopped, but at the end of the day, wheres the legality telling them to stop making them? I cant imagine a court just flew a case through, because a small group of people kicked up a fuss, and plus these are getting made in China and not USA. So make them and sell them outside the states, Im sure they would sell, as the banned figures.Comment
