Sadly I can't handle the 66 Batman show at all. Still love the look and memories but I can't make it through one episode.

One show I should be this way with, is Everybody Loves Raymond. I didn't really watch it much when it was new, but I've seen every episode 10 times over thanks to TV Land. But I continue to watch it as I wind down on a lot of nights. One day, the inability to sit through it will undoubtedly kick in.
I don't watch Batman 66 like you think I would. It's not "dead" to me, but I feel like I've absorbed so much of it, I don't have anything left to discover in it. If it ever hits official DVD, I'll likely change my mind.

This is such a great topic.
I'd like to conditionally add M*A*S*H to my list. On the condition that you only count season 4-11. While it is among my favorite shows, after Trapper and Blake left the mood and direction of the show started to change.
I am a little tired of Everybody Loves Raymond too but Patricia Heaton keeps me interested enough to sit through 24 minutes.
Hector mentioned his Dad hating tv but watching Seinfeld. . . My Dad was the same way. He never watched anything on tv and usually fell asleep after being on the couch for more than a few minutes. However during the intial run of "Soap" he would shut everything down, come out of his workshop and plant himself in front of the tv.If I had only spent a tenth of the time studying Physics that I spent learning Star Wars and Baseball trivia, I would have won the Nobel Prize.Comment

I can't watch Hawaii Five-0 (the original) anymore.
I used to LOOOVE watching Jack Lord and James MacArthur, and now I just can't make myself sit down and watch it.
The same thing for the 66 Batman series. Some of the plots are just sooooooo stupid, they are literally a pain to watch.
I hated Seinfeld with a passion and still don't watch the reruns.
Everybody Loves Raymond was an issue with me; the first couple of episodes were pretty funny, but then I started to get annoyed with how Marie and Frank ALWAYS got away with what they did!!! If anyone tried that with me, I'd ban them from the house, install locks on every door that would give Batman trouble, and tell my children that the old people across the street were a pair of evil meanies that wanted to hurt me and steal them away.
Cuz let's face it, Marie and Frank WERE evil meanies that hurt Deborah emotionally, and would have been perfectly happy to steal the children and screw them up just as badly as Raymond and his brother.JediJaidaComment

>Ever want to watch something but when you sit down you just can't sit through it ?
Lots of stuff. My problem is usually that I get five minutes in, realize "Oh; this is just like...." and then I can't watch 'cos I know everything that's gonna happen. Sitcoms are bad for that, but action shows aren't far behind.
>That's how I feel about Classic Trek and it pains me because I used to love it to death.
My uncle had that problem for a while. A few years later he could watch them again 'cos he'd forgot a lot of them.

I understand you mike I also went through a phase when I just couldn't watch any star trek. I can watch classic Trek again but I foind myself constanlty gumbling at the "enhanced" scenes. Thank god for my old unchanged video tapes.
I am currently at a point where I amd all done with NCIS even the new ones becuase my wife wil rewatch the ones she's seen again and again becuase she's forgotten them - Wish I could
on the flip side I am watching combat on METV for the first time in 10 years and it's like a brand new show to meLast edited by jds1911a1; Jan 16, '13, 8:47 PM.Comment

I don't get to watch tv much so I really don't get burned out. Well, I can't watch WWE anymore. It's gotten to where every single person annoys me. Once the Rock and Stone Cold left it was largely unwatchable for me. I must be in a very small minority cause I loved Friends and still watch every now and then. it was one of the smartest written shows I've ever seen.I almost had a psychic girlfriend but she dumped me before we met.
If anyone here believes in psychokinesis, please raise my hand.Comment

With me it's temporary. For the last several years I've been watching various seasons of TV during vacations and other ones as soon as I got them. I finished classic Trek a couple of years ago and started "Dukes Of Hazzard". I'm season 6 right now. When I finish season 7 (the last one) I doubt I'll go right back to season one. I've already added "Charlie's Angels" to the rotation. By the time I'm done with Dukes I'll be ready re-watch the "Starsky & Hutch" sets I finished many moons ago. I can re-watch stuff but need some time to pass before it becomes fresh again.Comment

The blu rays carry both original and enhanced versions, which I am quite grateful for.
